Diane Smith is GR8 People’s Co-founder, CEO, head coach and curator for our overall strategic direction and the driving force behind our commitment to teamwork, talent platform excellence and superior customer service. Diane has built a winning legacy centered on transformative technology for talent acquisition with an eye focused on meeting the needs of today and tomorrow. #GR8Fact: Prior to GR8 People, Diane was the Co-founder and CEO at VirtualEdge Corporation (VE) until its very successful acquisition by ADP.
It came as no surprise to the GR8 People team and our customers that she was recently named one of TAtech’s 100 Most Influential Talent Acquisition Thought Leaders. Here, Diane sits with Peter Weddle for TAtech’s Career Makers series to expand on her fascinating trajectory. Before Diane’s HR tech story began, her early career included positions at Princeton and Towson Universities where she coached the Division I Women’s Basketball programs. No stranger to athletics herself, she was a 4-year All-American Field Hockey player, a two-time Broderick Cup nominee and a member of the Women’s Olympic Field Hockey Team. Wow.
Peter describes the series as “virtual wisdom with a dash of storytelling” and Diane—entrepreneur, coach and leader—doesn’t disappoint.
